Hanoi University and Nong Chung Institute of Science and Technology for Vocational Training set up bilateral cooperation
On May 19, 2017, Vice President Nguyen Van Trao had a meeting and working session with the delegations of the Nantong Academy of Science and Technology for Vocational Training, China led by Party Secretary Zhu Qianbo. The meeting also had representatives from the International Office, the Academic Affairs Office, and Chinese Department.
At the meeting, the leaders of the two universities had discussed the cooperation strategies in the coming time. Accordingly, the two sides have identified a wide range of similarities that are potential for cooperation in such areas as lecturers and student mobility, bilateral and multilateral cooperation, one plus three, two plus two programs, etc.
Nantong Academy of Science and Technology hopes to welcome students of Hanoi University to come and study at the Institute in the upcoming time and will award scholarships to students with excellent academic achievements.
At the end of the meeting, Secretary Zhu Qianbo delivered an invitation to leaders of the University to visit the Academy of Science and Technology Vocational Training in the near future. In response to the invitation, Vice President Nguyen Van Trao accepted and mentioned that the University will arrange the visit in an appropriate time.
Nantong Academy of Science and Technology was established in 1945. The Institute is a key public school in Jiangsu Province, China and has the strength in Landscape, Electromechanics and Construction Design, Business Administration, Information Technology, etc. The institute has 11,000 students, 200 foreign students, and 680 teachers.
