Finance – Banking
Founded in 2002, the Faculty of Management and Tourism (FMT) has been the first faculty in Vietnam that has 100% subjects delivered in the English language. The Faculty’s curricula and textbooks are at a standard level as in UK, Australia, or USD. Besides, FMT also offers training courses in areas of accounting, audit, financial analysis, etc.
TRAINING STRUCTURE
LECTURERS
– More than 80% of lecturers hold the Master and Doctor degrees from Australia, UK, and USA;
– Guest lecturers have real experience and are experts in management or finance of corporations, tourist companies or 4-5 star hotels.
STUDENTS
– The Faculty has almost 1600 students;
– Students are creative, dynamic, and enthusiastic in social activities, such as Sharing Smiles organization, OneHeartLand, Clubs of Marketing, Accounting, Stock, TRC Tourism Community, SIFE project for the public, etc.
– Students were champions at the CFA Research Challenge held by the Certified Finance Analyst Institute in 2011; students have also received a copper prize for their business ideas held by HSBC in Hong Kong;
– Students have opportunities to enroll in similar programs in prestigious universities once they successfully complete the 2nd and/or 3rd year;
– Scholarship opportunities are given to students by enterprises (KPMG, Unilever), universities (Singapore National University, Shogun University – Korea), and other organizations in Vietnam, etc.
GOAL OF EDUCATION
Common goal
To provide training courses of Bachelor of Finance – Banking with an aim to produce highly qualified graduates who are able to solve technical issues of a finance -banking area.
Specific goal
– To train graduates of finance – banking with good expertise and English;
– To have willingness of updating news about financial corporate management, financial market and operations of banks and others (relating to administration, marketing, personnel, finance, accounting); and news on narrow fields such as market and financial institutions, operations of commercial banks, investment banks, risk managements, portfolio management;
– To possess leadership skills, teamwork experience, time management;
– To be well-ethic and responsible at work;
– To be flexible at different positions relating to issues of finance, banking, stock, insurance, and others.
Training duration: 4 years (9 semesters)
