Italian Studies
LECTURERS
– The Department has 17 contracted and guest lecturers, among whom there are 4 Italian lecturers;
– All Vietnamese lecturers received education in the Italian Republic.
STUDENTS
– The Department has 350 students;
– Students are active and dynamic in volunteer activities, music shows, sports competitions, and other big events such as Independence Day of the Italian Republic, Italian Language and Culture Week in Vietnam, etc.
– Students have opportunities for internship programs at the Vietnam-Italy Enterprise Forum, Italian Commercial Chamber in Vietnam, Italian Enterprises in Vietnam, or tourist companies, etc.
– Students have won prizes at the University’s scientific studies inclusive of 3 first prizes (in 2008, 2010, 2015), 4-second prizes (2008, 2011, 2013), 2 third prizes (2011, 2013), and 1 consolation prize (2010);
– The Department’s students are granted annually full scholarships from Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, more than 30 partly short language and culture course scholarships (from 1 to 2 months) and one-year articulate course scholarships, etc.
INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS
– The Department has good relationships with more than 20 universities, such as the University of Catania, Cassino, Ferrara, Palermo, Pisa, Roma La Spienza, Roma 3, Torino, etc.
– The Department has many exchange programs, internship programs, cooperation at scientific research projects, dual degree programs, master and doctoral programs, etc.
EMPLOYMENT
– Graduate students can be lecturers, interpreters or translators, project assistant, tour guides, etc.
– Students can work for the Italian Embassy in Hanoi, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, NGOs, Italian-owned enterprises or banks, commercial chambers, tourist companies, universities and Italian Language Center, etc.
