Hanoi University and the University of Coruna sign a Memorandum of Understanding
On April 19, 2017, President Nguyen Dinh Luan had a courtesy meeting with representatives of the University of Coruna (Spain) to Hanoi University. Coming from the University of Coruna, there is a presence of Vice President María del Pilar García de la Torre, Director of the International Office, María Begoña García Crespo and Director of GEC Vietnam Center, Leonardo Ripa.
At the meeting, President Nguyen Dinh Luan expressed his warm greetings to the University of Coruna. The two sides, afterward, had a discussion on a variety of fields and also, mentioned about cooperation possibilities on its training programs.
For her part, Ms. María del Pilar García de la Torre hopes to conduct students and lecturers’ mobility programs with Hanoi University, with an aim to provide the best learning and researching environment for students and teachers of the two universities.
Sharing his thoughts, President Nguyen Dinh Luan highly praised the suggestion of Vice President María del Pilar García de la Torre and mentioned that extending cooperations with Spain partners have always been one of the development strategies of Hanoi Univerisity.
Hanoi University is the very first higher education institute in Vietnam that conducts the Bachelor’s Degree Program in Vietnam also the only university that has The Cervantes Room. This is a great opportunity for the University to promote its Department of Spain Studies to not only domestic learners but also students within the region.
After the meeting, the leaders of two sides have signed a Memorandum of Understanding, asserting the mutual strategies and commitment of the two universities with discussed contents.
