Deputy General Director of Samsung Electronics Vietnam Thai Nguyen (SEVT) pays a visit to Hanoi University
On 19 April 2017, Mr. Lee Cheol Ku – Deputy General Director of Samsung Electronics Vietnam Thai Nguyen (SEVT) paid a visit to Hanoi University and had a working session with Present Nguyen Dinh Luan. Presenting at the meeting, there are representatives of the Department of Academic Affairs, the International Office, the Student Affairs Office and Korean Studies Department.
At the reception, Mr. Lee Cheol Ku generally introduced about the history and development of Samsung Electronics Vietnam Company Thai Nguyen and expressed his desire to further strengthen cooperation with Hanoi University in terms of training and recruiting students.
On behalf of the Rector Board, President Nguyen Dinh Luan welcomed this proposal and emphasized that the two sides will discuss together to launch new cooperation contents, including Korean language training, Vietnamese language training for SEVT employees; joint training in software development, supports for short-term and long-term human resource recruitment for SEVT, seminars with the participation of senior staff from SEVT, to name a few.
President Nguyen Dinh Luan expressed his hope that Samsung Electronics Vietnam Thai Nguyen will continue to join hand with Hanoi University in bridging enterprises with the University, aiming to provide students with opportunities to practice and work in the dynamic and professional environment of Samsung.
At the end of the meeting, leaders of the two sides agreed to have further discussion and soon deploy potential cooperation in the coming time.
Hanoi University and Samsung Electronics Vietnam Co., Ltd. Thai Nguyen signed a cooperation agreement in October 2015. Since then, SEVT has received more than 50 trainees for the Korean Studies Department and proposed scholarships for students with high academic achievement. At the present, the number of Hanoi University’s graduates working at SEVT is about 40 persons.
