On March 01, 2017, President Nguyen Dinh Luan received Prof. Maurizio Marchese, Vice President of Trento University at Hanoi University. Joining the reception, there are representatives of the International Office and the Department of Italian Studies.

 At the meeting, President Nguyen Dinh Luan was delighted to welcome Vice President Maurizio Marchese to Hanoi University and introduce the strength and achievements of the Univerisity over the past few years, especially in Italian Studies. The two universities have shared and exchange information on academic fields and also sought for cooperation opportunities between two sides.

 For his part, Vice President Maurizio Marchese expressed his willing of extending the cooperation with Vietnam universities, especially with Hanoi University in training sectors that the university has advantages.

 The University of Trento and Hanoi University, thus, agreed on a number of potential fields of training and research that the two universities can cooperate, including:

 First, Hanoi University shall provide a high quality of students who are competent in Italian (with certificate), allowing them to pursue their academic career at the University of Trento as undergraduate students with scholarships sponsored.

 Second, Hanoi University shall probably play the key role in terms of training, issuing Italian Language Proficiency Certificate for students from other partners of the University of Trento in Vietnam.

 Third, Hanoi University recommends the University of Trento to provide necessary supports in training the university’s academic staff at Master Degree and Ph.D. Degree’s level in Italian Studies.

 For his side, the University of Trento shall conduct and implement co-research activities with Hanoi University funded by either EU or local funds.

 Detailed provisions on the bilateral partnership shall be discussed by the two sides in the time to come.
