Opening Vietnamese language and culture short course for international students.
On February 02, 2017 Hanoi University has organized an opening ceremony of Vietnamese language and culture short course for 26 international students coming from Thailand, Japan, Italia, and Korea. Coming to the events, there are representatives of the Board of Management, Departments’ Directors, Vietnamese Studies Department, and many international students.
Vietnamese language and culture short course is a one-year program conducted by Vietnamese Studies Department with the aim to provide international students with hands-on experience in learning and exploring Vietnamese language, culture, and tradition. The course is a part of the cooperation on joint training and student exchange between Hanoi University and its partners in the mentioned-above countries. Prior to this course, there were thousands of students from more than 27 countries has come and completed Vietnamese language and culture short courses at different levels.
Speaking at the event, President Nguyen Dinh Luan delivered his warm greetings to 26 international students who have just become a new part of Hanoi University. In his speech, the President hopes that the course, to some extent, shall provide students with opportunities to have an insight into the culture of Vietnam, to love and understand more about Vietnam-country and people. He wishes that the students shall successfully complete the course, and in the time to come, shall become researchers and teachers in Vietnamese Studies.
Vietnamese language and culture short courses are being conducted by the Department of Vietnamese Studies – Hanoi University. The course includes Bachelor’s Degree Program and short courses from 3 months, 6 months to one year. In the upcoming time, the University is also planning to establish a Master Degree Program in Vietnamese Studies for international students and students coming from partner universities of Hanoi University
