Hanoi University welcomes delegations from Deakin University
On February 14, 2017, Hanoi University has the honor to welcome delegations from Deakin University, led by Prof. Indika Liyanage, Associate Head Of School (International Partnerships). Coming to the event, there are present of Vice President. Pham Ngoc Thach, representatives from the International Office, English Department, Foundation Studies Department and VU-HANU Office.
At the reception, Prof. Indika Liyanage, with his extensive knowledge in the field of TESOL, had a courtesy meeting with ESL teachers from English Department and Foundation Studies Department to share invaluable experience in the academic topic. The meeting had, indeed, earned a great impression from the academic staff of Hanoi University.
On behalf of the University, Prof. Pham Ngoc Thach expressed his profound gratefulness to Prof. Indika Liyanage for his sharing, asserting that those experience shall play a great role in innovating Hanoi University’s strategy in enhancing its pedagogy.
On the sidelines of the event, the two universities had a meeting on potentials for bilateral cooperation in MA TESOL program, co-research, faculty member and student exchange.
“In the current context of social development and integration, the extension of collaboration in research, academic exchange and especially joint program in TESOL shall undeniably have an important role in the development strategy of Hanoi University in internationalizing its joint programs. Thus, Hanoi University hopes, with long experience, Deakin University shall relentless provide necessary support for its pier in terms of academic cooperation” said Vice President. Pham Ngoc Thach.
For his part, Prof. Indika Liyanage affirmed his commitment in continuously facilitate and provide a favorable condition for Hanoi University in exchange the University’s strength on a variety of fields.
