Hanoi University and ACCA assert cooperation in the new phase.
On December 22, 2016, President Nguyen Dinh Luan had a meeting with Mrs. Le Thi Hong Len – Director of ACCA Mekong Region and other members of the Association to Hanoi University. The meeting had the presence of Vice President Pham Ngoc Thach, representatives of the International Office, the Academic Affairs Office, the Faculty of Management and Tourism, and Sunway Office.
At the reception, President Nguyen Dinh Luan extended his warm greetings to the ACCA delegations. The two discussed strategic plans with the partner in renovating the ACCA Program at Hanoi University. Specifically, ACCA shall apply international accounting standards with an aim to ensure the training quality and promote the quality of human resources within the association. ACCA underlined the indispensable role of Hanoi University in its development and pleaded to give its fullest support to Hanoi University in a variety of aspects.
For his part, President Nguyen Dinh Luan hight appreciated and concurred with the message from the representative of ACCA. Hanoi University always yearns to provide the most favorable academic environment for its students, including essential knowledge and certificate to meet the requirements of enterprises. Thus, the University shall implement a new training curriculum which shares a number of subjects within the training program of ACCA, the President said.
After the meeting, leaders from the two sides signed a Memorandum of Understanding, asserting new strategies towards a closer cooperation.
ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) is the global professional accounting body offering the Chartered Certified Accountant qualification. ACCA qualifications provide students with the insightful knowledge, opening doors to highly respected, interesting work in any sector for its learners. After completing the program, learners will be awarded ACCA certificate and describe themselves as Chartered Certified Accountants.
The syllabus of ACCA comprises 16 examinations, and learners are required to pass 14 examinations among those. The qualification is structured in two parts. The Fundamentals level consists of 9 examinations: F1 Accountant in Business, F2 Management Accounting, F3 Financial Accounting, F4 Corporate and Business Law, F5 Performance Management, F6 Taxation, F7 Financial Reporting, F8 Audit and Assurance, and F9 Financial Management.
