Cooperation Agreement Signed Between Hanoi University And The University Of Karlova
On July 11th, 2016, President Nguyen Dinh Luan had a meeting with Mr. Janem Podroužkem – Executive Director of Institute of Language Education Training, the University of Karlova (ÚJOP – Czech Republic). Present at the event were representatives from International Office and Czech Center for Education and Partnership Development, Hanoi University.
At the reception, President Nguyen Dinh Luan affirmed the Czech language has always been regarded as one of the strength and priorities in the developing strategy of Hanoi University in which the establishment of Czech Center for Education and Partnership Development is a remark.
On his part, Mr. Janem Podroužkem wished to reconnect and bolster the long-standing traditional partnership between the Czech Republic and Hanoi University, looking to further developments in the future. Mr. Podroužkem hopes to receive supports from Hanoi University in integrating Vietnamese Studies into Karlova University’s curriculum.
Speaking at the session, President Nguyen Dinh Luan strongly agreed with Mr. Janem Podroužkem’s suggestions, saying that the Czech Republic used to be a reliable address for studying and doing research to many students in Hanoi University. He emphasized on the necessity of restoring the cooperation and promoting the bilateral ties between two sides.
After the meeting, two parties signed an agreement on bilateral cooperation which plays the role as a legal framework for implementing discussed contents more efficiently. Basic contents of the agreement include:
The University of Karlova will support Hanoi University in developing Czech language teaching curriculum and methods, organizing Czech Language Certificate Exam (CCE) by ÚJOP UK in accordance with Common European Framework for Reference A1, A2, B1, B2 (CCE A1, CCE A2, CCE B1, CCE B2). Besides, information about study aboard opportunities in the Czech Republic and courses by ÚJOP will also be informed.
On the other hand, the University of Karlova will provide preparatory courses, supporting students in choosing major and applying to universities in the Czech Republic.
On its part, Hanoi University will be in charge of running one-year preparatory course for studying at Czech universities by ÚJOPUK and organizing of Czech Language Certificate Exam (CCE) at the University.
