Annual Review Meeting between Hanoi University and the University of Canberra
With the aim to evaluate the annual performance of the Master Program in Theory and Methods of Teaching English and Foreign Languages (HANU – UC Master of TESOL and FLT), in the morning of January 20, 2021, President Nguyen Van Trao and Leaders of related departments at Hanoi University had an online meeting with the University of Canberra (Australia).
Through this online meeting, Hanoi University and the University of Canberra summarized the activities within the framework of the joint program of Master of Theory and Methodology of Teaching English and Foreign Languages (MTESOL & FLT). At the meeting, the two sides exchanged and discussed issues such as learners’ evaluation during and after the program, new assessment options; approaches to marketing, enrollment, promoting the program to wide range learners; the possibility of updating some modules of the program to better suit a diverse audience; scholarship for students with excellent academic results, etc.
Master Program Theory and Methodology of Teaching English and Foreign Languages (HANU – UC Master of TESOL and FLT) has been officially conducted by Hanoi University and University of Canberra (Australia) since November 28, 2018. The program aims to facilitate domestic and international students to enrol in an advanced training program in Vietnam and receive international qualifications at reasonable costs. The program consists of two phases, in which the first 7 months, students attending Phase I (Graduate Diploma in TESOL) will be granted a Certificate of Postgraduate Fostering by Hanoi University. Afterwards, students who attend Phase II (Master of TESOL & FLT) will be granted a Master’s Degree by the University of Canberra with a Master’s Degree in Theory and Method of Teaching English and Foreign Languages.
