Video Conference on the Launching of “Cooperation in diplomas and certificates recognition among Asian countries – RecoAsia” Project
HANU – “Cooperation in diplomas and certificates recognition between Asian countries – RecoAsia” Project implemented in the period of 2019 – 2022 is an Erasmus Key Action 2 CBHE research project sponsored by the European Commission with the participation of 20 partners, of which Aquila University (Italy) is the main coordinator.
The project has five European partners including Aquila University (Italy); The Information Center on Academic Mobility and Equivalence (CIMEA) is the Italian Center for accreditation of programs, diplomas and certificates; Archimedes Foundation, the exclusive organization of the Estonian government on cooperation in the fields of training, education, research and technology development; LUISS University (Italy); Tartu University (Estonia); 15 Asian partners (from Vietnam, Thailand, Mongolia, Cambodia, and Sri Lanka) and 03 coordinating partners from Japan, China and South Korea.
In Vietnam, besides Hanoi University, there are 02 members participating in the Reco Asia project, which are Open University in Ho Chi Minh City and the Diploma Accreditation Center (VN-NARIC) under the Ministry of Education and Training. The project aims to establish a National Information Centres for the recognition and assessment of international qualifications.
The RecoAsia project’s activities aim to support and strengthen cooperation in the field of national diploma and certificate recognition between higher education institutions and the NARIC Center of Asia and EU countries; Strengthening the capacities and skills of those involved in the examination, evaluation and issuance of certificates and diplomas; Identify and apply common practices between European countries, Asian countries and higher education institutions with the help of the organizations involved in the Bologna Process as well as regulations adopted by China ENIC-NARIC centres in Europe and Asia.
Due to the complicated situation of the Covid-19 epidemic, especially in Europe, on the afternoon of March 19, 2020, the Project Inception Conference “Cooperation in the field of recognition of diplomas and certificates among RecoAsia” hosted by Aquila University (Italy) was organized online. Attending the online meeting at Hanoi University were President Nguyen Van Trao and members of the University participating in the Project.
Before the online conference started, President Nguyen Van Trao had a discussion with the project participants. The President highly appreciated the role and importance of the goals of RecoAsia Project. According to the President, to achieve the best results in the project, the University is ready to support teachers and researchers involved in the Project. The project should promote a working spirit of respect, compliance with the rules, principles of the project team and the coordinator.
