Hanoi University and Valladolid University (Spain): Seek to create opportunities for cooperation
On March 21, Professor Antonio Largo Cabrerizo – President of Valladolid University visited and worked with Hanoi University. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Trao – President of the Hanoi University, heads International Office, Academic Affairs Office, and Spanish Studies Department joined the reception.
At the meeting, President Nguyen Van Trao expressed his pleasure and express his gratitude to Professor Antonio Largo Cabrerizo for visiting Hanoi University, hoping that through this visit, the two sides will expand bilateral cooperation relations to promote the development of faculty, student and international exchange activities.
According to President Nguyen Van Trao, Hanoi University is the first institution in the country to provide training courses in Spanish studies. In the field of foreign language teaching, the school is very reputable, highlighting that most the university is a reliable address for organising activities relate to Spanish-speaking countries. Thus, President Nguyen Van Trao also wishes to establish a cooperative relationship with Spanish-speaking countries to implement the University’s international strategy development.
In response, Professor Antonio Largo Cabrerizo emphasised that he is always willing to receive cooperation ideas for both institutions, especially he was very happy to share the idea of cooperating with Hanoi University to develop together. According to Professor Antonio Largo Cabrerizo, since the University of Valladolid has an Asian research centre, the two sides can cooperate on the exchange of faculty and students and other cooperative strategies.
The University of Valladolid (UVA), Spain, was established in the 13th century. The university has a development span of nearly 800 years. Since its inception, UVA has been constantly evolving and becoming one of the largest and most prestigious universities in Spain. The school currently has 28,000 students enrolled, 2,000 professors involved in teaching and 1,070 administrative staff. UVA has four teaching facilities in four major cities of Castile G Leon region, namely Valladolid, Palencia, Soria and Segovia.
