Periodically evaluate and summarize the Master’s Degree Program in Theory and Methods of Teaching English and Foreign Languages
On December 7 and 8, 2022, the delegation of the University of Canberra (Australia) included Prof. Barney Dalgarno – Dean of the Faculty of Education, Prof. Ting Wang – Vice Dean of the Faculty of Education and Dr. Siew Imm Tan – Director of the HANU-UC MTESOL Joint Training Program visited and worked with Hanoi University. Vice President Nguyen Tien Dung, Deputy Director of the Office of the University of Canberra Nguyen Hong Giang ưelcomed and worked with the delegation.
On the first working day (December 7, 2022), the two universities held a meeting to summarize the Master’s Program in Theory and Methods of Teaching English and Foreign Languages. The purpose of the meeting was to ensure that the implementation of the agreed curriculum between the two Universities complies with the obligations of the University of Canberra, under the Higher Education Standards Framework, the 2015 Threshold Standards and other regulations. The two institutions reviewed the activities of the semester implementation and student outcomes of the program, student support services, academic complaints and violations, marketing activities, regulation and supervision of program activities, faculty recruitment and financial matters.
The two sides agreed to continue building capacity for cooperation between lecturers and researchers as well as strengthening the quality of the program.
On the second working day (December 8, 2022), the two universities focused on discussing cooperation agreements in the next period when the four-year implementation of the bilateral cooperation agreement ended. The two sides reviewed and discussed terms to prepare for cooperation in the next 5 years, as well as discussed in detail a training model with more active participation from the University of Canberra.
