Vice President of Niagara University (USA) visited Hanoi University
On November 10, 2022, Mr. Duleep C. Deosthale – Vice Rector in charge of International Relations, Niagara University (USA) visited Hanoi University. President Nguyen Van Trao and representative from the International Office, English Department, and International Education Center welcomed and worked with the delegation.
President Trao shared that Hanoi University had the opportunity to visit and work with Niagara University on the occasion of a business trip accompanying the Minister of Education and Training to attend the Summit on Education Transformation and the Vietnam – US Education Cooperation Forum at the end of September 2022. The two sides used to exchange some basic information about the development model, the possibility of cooperation in scientific research, the development of joint training programs, and the exchange of lecturers and students. Hanoi University, hence, is very pleased to welcome the representative of Niagara University to visit and discuss in more detail the ideas both sides are interested in.
Vice Rector Deosthale thanked the HANU President for the warm welcome. The Vice Rector said that after the meeting and exchanges relevant information with President Trao in September, the leaders of Niagara University (USA) wished to carry out cooperative activities with the University soonest. Vice President Deosthale also highlighted that Niagara University has cooperated with a number of universities in Asia in recent years in general and Vietnam in particular. Therefore, he hopes both institutions can cooperate with in the fields of Tourism and Travel, Business Administration, etc.
At the meeting, representative leaders of the English Department and the International Education Center, Hanoi University also shared several potential areas that both universities can explore, such as exchanges of faculty and students, 2+2 transfer program, 3+1 transition program, workshops, seminars, academic research, etc.
At the end of the meeting, the leaders of the two universities were very pleased to see prospective opportunities, and so the Memorandum of Understanding might be signed in the near future.
