On October 26, 2022, the signing ceremony of a cooperation agreement between Hanoi University (HANU) and IDP Vietnam Education Co., Ltd on organizing the IELTS test at HANU took place successfully. On behalf of the University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Trao, President and Ms. Le Muon Xuan Director of IELTS IDP Vietnam representing the two Parties signed the Contract. The Signing Ceremony was attended by Dr. Nguyen Tien Dung, Vice President, the representatives from the International Office, the Testing Center and members of IDP Vietnam.

Within the framework of the signing ceremony, President Trao stated that there has been a long-term cooperation between IDP Vietnam and Hanoi University, and the signing ceremony just aimed to formalize the relationship, so that concrete activities can be implemented. As one of the endeavours of HANU in realizing internationalization goals set out by previous leaders till now, HANU would always like to standardize evaluation of learners’ language competence, and the IELTS Test seems to be a good choice. Besides, in-house students have been in increasing need for IELTS. In this light, HANU hopes to meet such testing demands for the society and the local. President Trao affirmed that the University would provide necessary support, aiming to promote the reputation and organization of IDP and the IELTS Test within the Campus.

Since 2010, Hanoi University has had the opportunity to cooperate with IDP through the foundation of the IDP Office at the International Education Center, Hanoi University. The signing of a cooperation agreement between the two Parties once again affirms the strong cooperative relationship, which hopefully makes HANU the venue for the international IELTS test.
