Hanoi University awarded an Honorary Doctorate to Chairman Zhang Yang Group Holdings Ltd in Hong Kong
HANU – This morning, July 30, 2021, Hanoi University in collaboration with the Consulate General of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Hong Kong (China) organized the ceremony of awarding an honorary doctorate to Mr. Lam Kin Chung – Chairman of Zhang Yang Group Holdings Ltd in Hong Kong. Due to the complicated situation of the Covid-19 epidemic, the ceremony was held online.
Attending the award ceremony, there were Consul General Pham Binh Dam, Mr. Lam Kien Trung and other guests. On the side of Hanoi University, there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Trao – President, Dr. Nguyen Tien Dung – Vice President and Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Tan – Director of International Office.
On behalf of the Vietnamese Consulate in Hong Kong, Consul General Pham Binh Dam awarded an honorary doctorate degree from Hanoi University to Mr. Lam Kim Trung and congratulated Mr. Lam on receiving this honor.
Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Trao affirmed that the awarding of the Honorary Degree is a recognition of outstanding achievements in cultural and social activities of Mr. Lam and his contributions to Hanoi University in recent years. This is the highest honor of Hanoi University for Mr. Lam Kim Trung, a businessman, cultural ambassador, social activist with international humanitarian spirit and famous educational activist. language.
