Opening Ceremony the Master’s program in TESOL and Foreign Language Teaching
HANU – On the morning of June 17, 2021, Hanoi University held an online opening ceremony of the Master’s program in TESOL and Foreign Language Teaching, a joint training program with the University of Canberra (Australia). Attending the ceremony were Vice President – Dr. Nguyen Tien Dung; Deputy Director of the MTESOL Program – Dr. Nguyen Hong Giang, along with teachers and leaders of Hanoi University’s training departments and students of class 46.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice President Nguyen Tien Dung congratulated 50 new students of the 46th class after having passed a rigorous exam and admission to the program and was present at the ceremony today. He would like to thank the students for their love and trust when choosing Hanoi University to study in this program. The Vice President affirmed on ensuring the quality of teaching as well as teaching facilities to provide students with a useful learning program. He believes that after participating in the course, every 46th class student today will have more progress and development than before. Dr. Nguyen Tien Dung reminds the students that they need to have high concentration to complete the study program on time and complete the goals they have set during their studies.
The MTESOL Program Deputy Director Nguyen Hong Giang shared and guided students about: the content of the curriculum, the roadmap of the entire course, and answered some of the students’ questions. She also wished the students would successfully complete the study program and gain more useful experience and knowledge for their future teaching career.
The entire Master’s program in TESOL and Foreign Language Teaching is taught in English. The University of Canberra directly manages the curriculum, training quality according to international standards along with study materials, equipment and modern facilities. The total time to study, complete, submit and consider graduation is 02 years, divided into 2 phases: phase 1 is awarded the Graduate Diploma in TESOL by Hanoi University. Phase 2 is awarded by the University of Canberra (Australia) with a Master of Theory and Methods of Teaching English and Foreign Languages (Master of TESOL and FLT).
