Meeting on the preparation for the launching of “Higher Governance Innovation in Southeast Asia – PURSEA – PURSEA” Project
HANU – “Higher Governance Innovation in Southeast Asia – PURSEA” Project is part of the Capacity Building in Higher Education (Erasmus+) program funded by the European Commission in the period of 2020 – 2023. The project aims to reform the governance practices of Southeast Asian universities through strategic planning and implementation of action plans that are appropriate to the national, regional and regional contexts and characteristics of each institute.
Participating in the PURSEA Project there are 16 universities, research institutes and higher education institutes, including 8 partners in Asia – Pacific (06 universities in Vietnam, 02 universities in Cambodia) and 8 partners in Europe in which, Hanoi University plays the role of project coordinator.
The launching of the Project “University Governance Innovation in Southeast Asia – PURSEA” is scheduled to be held on February 26-27, 2020 at Hanoi University. In order to prepare the conditions for organizing the launching program to be successful, on the afternoon of February 14, 2020, Hanoi University held a meeting with the participation of President Nguyen Van Trao, Vice President Nguyen Thi Cuc Phuong and representatives from relevant departments of the University.
On behalf of the school leaders, President Nguyen Van Trao has thoroughly directed individuals and specialized departments to the commit to participate in the Project and consider this as a cross-cutting task in the 2020 – 2023 period; enhancing interaction, sharing information with each other in the working process; implementing Project’s activities to ensure its efficiency which will serve as a basis for the evaluation and reception of the other projects in the future.
At this meeting, Vice President Nguyen Thi Cuc Phuong briefly introduced PURSEA Project and the work to be carried out at the Launching Conference; assigning specific tasks to departments in the university to prepare to ensure the success of the launching program.
