President Nguyen Van Trao attends the Launching Ceremony of the LAB-MOVIE Project
HANU – From 11 to 16 January 2020, President Nguyen Van Trao led the delegation of Hanoi University to attend the Launching Ceremony of The Labor Market Survey Project at Universities in Vietnam (LAB-MOVIE). The event was held at the University of Padova (Italy).
The Labor Market Survey Project at Universities in Vietnam (LAB-MOVIE) is sponsored by the European Commission with the participation of universities in Italy, Spain and Vietnam. In Vietnam, there are six members participating in the project, including Hanoi Association of Small and Medium Enterprises, Hanoi University, Thai Nguyen University, Hanoi Industrial University, Nguyen Tat Thanh University (Ho Chi Minh City) and Agriculture Institute. Hanoi University is the national coordinator who holds the role of connecting, assigning members to organize the implementation of the Project activities.
As the Head of the LAB-MOVIE project in Vietnam, President Nguyen Van Trao expressed his pleasure to participate in a topic of national coalition that seeks to enhance the system development in the education sector. The President also briefly introduced about Hanoi University, emphasizing the strengths in training and having a wealth of experience in successfully implementing many European-funded projects. On behalf of project participants in Vietnam, President Nguyen Van Trao committed that the Project members will fulfil the set objectives and comply with the regulations on project management.
After attending the Launching Ceremony, the members of the LAB-MOVIE Project signed a Memorandum of Understanding and participated in training sessions to implement the Project activities as well as build connection between members of the Project.
The LAB-MOVIE project is an employment management project that examines the business needs of three industry groups: Food; Tourism; Electronics Telecommunication and Information Technology. Through developing software to help businesses regularly update job needs so that universities can search and conduct surveys on business needs. This is the basis for the orientation of students’ second major, ensuring to meet the needs of businesses right from the time they have not graduated.
The project is currently being implemented in three groups of training disciplines at 05 universities and institutes. The results of the LAB-MOVIE Project, after the completion, will be the premise for further projects to be implemented in other training industries and at different institutions.
