Head of Wallonie – Brussels delegation in Vietnam visit and work at Hanoi University.
HANU – On the morning of December 3, 2019, Mr. Nicolas Dervaux – Representative of the Wallonie-Bruxelles delegation in Vietnam paid a working visit to Hanoi University during his first term in Vietnam. President Nguyen Van Trao warmly welcomed the delegation.
According to Mr. Nicolas Dervaux, although this was his first visit and work at Hanoi University, he felt very close since Hanoi University is a partner with a solid history of cooperation with the Wallonie-Bruxelles delegation in Vietnam. On this occasion, Mr Nicolas Dervaux congratulated the University for its 60th anniversary.
Mr. Nicolas Dervaux highly appreciated Hanoi University as one of the units that have been actively and effectively participating in bilateral cooperation projects between the Wallonie-Bruxelles delegation with Vietnam. In 2019, the delegation had 25 cooperative projects including 04 cooperation projects with Hanoi University, 1/3 of the scholarships for students that the delegation awarded belonged to Hanoi University. Mr. Nicolas Dervaux was delighted with the positive results of the cooperation between the delegation and the University in the past time and hoped that the two sides would maximize those results, while continuing to promote the cooperation in the time to come.
From his side, President Nguyen Van Trao expressed his gratitude to Mr. Nicolas Dervaux, who has just received the position of Chief Representative of the Wallonie-Bruxelles delegation in Vietnam since October 2019, yet great attention to the University. Hanoi University commits to the Wallonie-Bruxelles delegation on promoting activities to spread the humanitarian values of the delegation, being a bridge connecting the delegation with other partners in Vietnam, and continue to be a sustainable partner of the delegation and implement all commitments between the University and the delegation.
At the end of the meeting, the two sides had positive discussions about the needs of the bilateral cooperation relationship. The Wallonie-Bruxelles Delegation in Vietnam will connect, create conditions for students of Business Communication program to prepare for graduation – a result of cooperation between the delegation and the University, to have access to the Talented scholarships, expand opportunities for higher research.
