Hanoi University and Srinakharinwirot University strengthen bilateral cooperation
HANU – On November 22, 2019, the delegation of Srinakharinwirot University, Thailand, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Prit Supasetsiri – Vice-President had a visit to Hanoi University. President Nguyen Van Trao and representatives of International Office, Academic Affairs Department, Thai Language and Culture Center joined the reception.
At the meeting, leaders of the two institutions expressed their hope to further promote cooperation between the two sides. Accordingly, Srinakharinwirot University will provide 1-2 scholarships for students of Hanoi University to study at Srinakharinwirot University for one semester. At the same time, Srinakharinwirot University will support Hanoi University in training Thai lecturers to teach the Thai Language at bachelor level, expected to enrol in 2021. Srinakharinwirot University is also ready to send experts and lecturers to support the Thai language teaching of Hanoi University in the near future.
On the occasion of the visit, Prof.Dr. Prit Supasetsiri expressed his sincere thanks to the leaders and the departments of Hanoi University for providing favourable conditions for the delegation of 20 officials, teachers and students of Srinakharinwirot University to participate in exchange activities and practise Thai language teaching for students of Hanoi University.
Since 2013, Hanoi University and Srinakharinwirot University have started to establish cooperative relations. Since then, the cooperation between the two institutions has been constantly strengthened and expanded. Every year, Hanoi University receives about 20 students from Srinakharinwirot University to study short-term Vietnamese courses and internships. At the same time, every year from 10-12 students of Hanoi University receive a scholarship from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand to study at Srinakharinwirot University.
