Hanoi University and University of Tourism and Services (Russia): Great opportunity for cooperation in training human resources for tourism
HANU – On May 29, 2019, President Nguyen Van Trao received and worked with the Vice President of the University of Tourism and Services (Russia), Ms. Pirozhenco NT. At the meeting, the two sides signed a Memorandum of Understanding.
According to the memorandum, the two sides look forward to a cooperation agreement with the following contents: Student exchange, giving students of the two schools more opportunities to study and research; Academic exchange, research, exchange of faculty members; Exchange information and learning materials on research and teaching.
In addition, the two sides can work together in international research activities, educational activities as well as other fields that the two schools are capable of.
During the meeting, President Nguyen Van Trao welcomed Vice President Pirozhenco N.TT and introduced about the University. The President said that this visit ưill be the first step in establishing bilateral cooperation, marking the initial foundation of possible future cooperation.
Vice President Pirozhenco NT delivered hẻ gratitude to President Nguyen Van Trao for taking time to welcome the delegation, claiming that the two sides have many opportunities that can be implemented in the future.
With the strength of training in tourism, restaurants and hotels, as well as languages such as English, Spanish and Russian for foreigners, Vice President Pirozhenco NT believes that the two universities can fully implement the cooperation based on strengths and common interests. In addition, the University of Tourism and Services can receive students from Hanoi University to study tourism in Russian.
After the meeting, the leaders of the two institutions agreed on the willingness to implement the cooperation that both sides have the ability and needs, especially in the field of tourism. With the growing potential of the current tourism industry between Russia and Vietnam, the demand for training human resources in this field will also be great. On this occasion, Vice President Pirozhenco NT also sent an invitation to President Nguyen Van Trao to Russia to visit the University of Tourism and Services to discuss more detailed about the cooperation of the two sides in the future.
