HaNU – In the afternoon of April 23, 2019, the delegation of Ha Khau Vocational College (China) led by President Luu Hoa Van paid a visit and had a meeting with Hanoi University. Receiving Prof. Luu and the delegation, there were Dr. Pham Ngoc Thach – Vice President of Hanoi University and leaders of International Office, Academic Affairs Department and Department of Vietnamese Studies.
At the meeting, Dr. Pham Ngoc Thach expressed his pleasure to welcome the delegation. The Vice President emphasized, with some similarities in the field of training that are prominent in Vietnam, the meeting will open many opportunities and cooperation activities between two universities such as exchange activities between experts and lecturers of the two schools; opportunities to support in the study and research of the two university lecturers and students.
In response to Vice President Pham Ngoc Thach, Prof. Luu Hoa Van thanked the warm reception of the University Board. He evaluated that Vietnam and China are the two countries with a close pảtnershop, with extensive cooperation in culture, economy and education, many documents have been signed in recent years. between the two countries. Prof. Luu also shared that not only students but also officials and lecturers of Ha Khau Vocational College (China) also aspired to attend Master’s degree programmes at Hanoi University. Accordingly, he hopes that in the future, the two schools not only cooperate in training bachelor’s degrees but also in post-graduate levels.
At the end of the meeting, the delegation visited the university and the dormitory area of Chinese students studying at Hanoi University under the exchange program between the two schools.
Ha Khau Senior Vocational College (China) was established in 1987. Taking advantage of its position near Vietnam, since 2010 the university has established a foreign language major for foreign students and a major in English. Vietnamese for Chinese students. Up to now, this is the only public vocational school specialized in foreign languages. The school currently has 548 students, of whom 200 are Vietnamese students studying. With the operation principle: “Integrating Chinese and Vietnamese culture”, Ha Khau Vocational College (China) hope to become a bridge to help Chinese students come to Vietnam and bring practitioners Vietnam to study in China.
Accordingly, in 2016, Hanoi University and Ha Khau High School (China) signed a student exchange cooperation project. The successful project with more than 60 Chinese students went to Vietnam to study at Hanoi University and is still being maintained.
