The delegation of IMC University of Krems (Austria) visited and worked with Hanoi University
On April 9, 2019, senior leaders of IMC Krems University (Austria), led by Dr. Heinz Boyer, the Chairman of the university council, visited and worked with Hanoi University. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Trao – President of Hanoi University; representatives of the International Education Center, International Office, and Academic Affairs Department joined the reception.
Expressing the joy of welcoming by the delegation, according to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Trao, the joint training programme in Bachelor of Tourism Management between Hanoi University and IMC Krems University, which has been implemented since 2013, so far has been very successful. With positive achievements of the program, President Nguyen Van Trao hoped that the cooperative relations between the two sides would become more and more sustainable. In the coming time, the University wishes to cooperate with IMC Krems University in delivering courses in nursing.
In response, Dr. Boyer appreciates the cooperation and quality of professional training management of the International Education Center, Hanoi University, where the training program of Bachelor of Tourism IMC Krems is managed. He emphasized that this is one of the factors that make up the success of the training program which is also the most highly appreciated international cooperation program of IMC University in Vietnam. Dr Boyer sees the great potential of tourism in Vietnam in the near future. IMC University Krems is known as the leading International University of Austria with courses taught in English, and have a great reputation in the field of Tourism. In the academic year of 2019-2020, the Bachelor of Tourism Administration IMC Krems continued to enrol students in the 6th course with many favourable policies of IMC Krems University, especially considering only academic records and direct admission for the candidates who have international IELTS score from 6.5.
The diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Austria over the past time have developed very well. The governments of the two countries pay great attention to supporting investment policies, expanding cooperation in all fields. The Austrian Embassy in Vietnam always facilitates the students of the IMC Krems Tourism Program at Hanoi University to attend regular annual transitional and exchange courses in Austria and Europe. In return, the Vietnamese Embassy in Austria also supports the exchange and student activities at IMC Krems University and supports IMC Krems University’s mission teams to work in Vietnam.
