The Embassy of Canada to Vietnam in Hanoi donates books and organizes musical performances at Hanoi University
On March 14, 2019, Mr. Robert Bisett – Political Counselor and Information Culture, Canadian Embassy visited Hanoi University in the framework of international Francophone celebrations. Joining the delegation, on the side of Hanoi University, there were Dr. Nguyen Thi Cuc Phuong – Vice President of Hanoi University, heads of departments and offices.
On behalf of the Ambassador, Mr. Robert Bisett presented books on Canadian country, people and culture to Hanoi University. At the meeting, he also discussed with Vice Rector Nguyen Thi Cuc Phuong about training cooperation programs and scholarship opportunities for students.
Dr. Nguyen Thi Cuc Phuong expressed her pleasure to welcome Mr. Robert Bisett, as well as gratitude toward the Canadian Embassy for providing the university with great support. At the meeting, the Vice President also took the opportunity to introduce Mr. Robert Bisett about the training programs of Hanoi University as well as its international cooperation activities. Hanoi University is a reliable address for training high-quality human resources for enterprises in the Francophonie in which the University cooperates in many fields with embassies and French-language organizations, especially in the field of education.
In the framework of the visit and working with Hanoi University, the Canadian Embassy collaborates with the French Studies Department to organize a musical program between Canadian artist Rapper Webster and students of Ha Noi University.
Artist Webster has warmed the A1 auditorium with 5 songs in a row. Reste Vaillante’s songs, lyrics and melody have moved more than 400 students present at the hall with the message to stimulate determination and courage.
The programme took place extremely exciting and exciting with the exchange between artist Webster and students of Hanoi University. The songs in French by the artists who composed and performed have inspired positive and faith for young people so that Hanoi University students would continue their journey of seeking knowledge for the future.
