The Director of DAAD Regional Office in Hanoi visits Hanoi University: Continuing to open more opportunities for study and research in Germany.
On March 5, 2019, Mr Hase-Bergen, Head of Regional DAAD Office (German Academic Exchange Agency) visited and worked with Hanoi University. Welcoming Mr Hase – Bergen, on the side of HaNU, there were Assoc.Dr. Nguyen Van Trao – President of Hanoi University, with teachers, deans of faculties, and heads departments and offices: International Office, Academic Affairs Department, Research, Finance and Accounting department, Department of German, and Faculty of International Studies.
At the meeting, President Nguyen Van Trao expressed his pleasure when receiving Mr Hase-Bergen to visit Hanoi University and sent his appreciation to DAAD for its support and assistance to the university over the past few years. DAAD has assisted in sending experts teaching at HaNU, providing scholarships for teachers and students studying in Germany, to enhance the quality of teaching staff and German training at the university.
In response, Mr Hase – Bergen affirmed that the DAAD would support capacity building for Hanoi University by connecting HaNU with German universities in training and research. Furthermore, Mr Hase Bergen also wished to support not only the German Department but all other faculties. In addition, more information about scholarships granting for researchers was informed by Mr Hase-Bergen at the meeting. Accordingly, October 15, 2019, is the deadline for application submission for postgraduate candidates at Hanoi Office, with 100% full scholarship.
DAAD is the representative agency for German universities to support international cooperation of German universities with other countries through student exchange programs, research exchanges, supporting projects, and scholarship programs.
Currently, DAAD offers 95 different types of scholarships for Vietnam, mainly for Masters, Doctoral, Post-doctoral level and research projects. Additionally, international conferences and courses for scholarship-in-Germany-seeking applicants are regularly organized by DAAD.
