The University of Franche-Comté enhances the cooperation with Hanoi University
On March 4, 2019, President of Hanoi University – Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Trao received Prof. Jacques Bahi – Rector of Franche – Comté University (UFC) to visit and work at HaNU. This is the first visit to Vietnam of Prof. Jacques Bahi to accelerate and expand cooperation with partners, including Hanoi University.
At the meeting, the President took the opportunity to introduce the training programs of HaNU and its international programmes. Hanoi University and the University of Franche – Comté signed a cooperation agreement in 2014. Since then, Frech-majored students from Hanoi University are annually sent to UFC to improve their language and practically experience the real French-speaking environment. In addition, the Erasmus programme also allows students, teachers and research students to participate in exchange programmes between the two institutions.
Through this visit, UFC representatives hoped to expand the collaboration to other training areas, particularly in the field of multimedia communications. This is a new field of training to be deployed at Hanoi University in the 2019 – 2020 academic year. With an experienced team of lecturers and researchers, UFC can support teacher training, and teach some modules for HaNU’s students.
The University of Franche – Comté located in Besancon, France. This is a multidisciplinary public university founded in 1427. The institution has an average annual student enrollment of about 21,000 and over 1,300 staff, lecturers and researchers in all fields. Many French-majored Vietnamese teachers have studied at the Applied Language Center (CLA) of the University.
