Hanoi University and International Management Institute (IMI), Switzerland: Opening up new cooperation opportunities
HANU – On January 14, 2019, the senior delegation from International Management Institute (IMI) led by Mr Heinz Burki – President and Founder of IMI visited and worked with Hanoi University. Receiving the delegation was President of Hanoi University – Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Trao, Dean of Business Administration and Tourism Department, Directors of International Office and Academic Affairs Department.
On the occasion of Vietnamese Lunar New Year of 2019, President Nguyen Van Trao expressed the joy of welcoming the delegation to visit HANU and took the opportunity to introduce Mr Heinz Burki an overview of Hanoi University. As a university that has a long history and high standing in foreign language training, according to President Nguyen Van Trao, Hanoi University always welcomes the establishment of new cooperation with IMI, providing more opportunities for partnership based on new initiatives that benefit both sides.
On IMI’s side, with outstanding capabilities and experience, the Institute is a prestigious institution that has many partners around the world. However, according to Mr Heinz Burki, those are selective connections. IMI always seek partners from potential countries only, with great consideration regarding their professional capacity before making any decision to cooperate. Therefore, IMI is honoured to become HANU’s new partner, and happy to work with HANU to open up new cooperation opportunities.
Both sides believe in the success of the cooperation programme based on specific initiatives and action plans. In the coming time, HANU and IMI may soon promote student exchange programme between the two institutions.
On this occasion, the high-level delegation of the Institute of International Management also had a professional meeting with the Leaders of the Faculty of Business Administration and Tourism to discuss the field of cooperation. The two sides worked together to implement the project “Training programme for middle and senior managers of the hotel industry”. The course is developed by two parties, consisting of seven subjects within six months of training. This programme will help students obtain certificates from international accrediting organisations and at the same time, allow them to transfer their credits to postgraduate programmes in the field.
