Hanoi University and Yunnan Agricultural University promote multifaceted cooperation.
On March 30, 2017, Vice President Nguyen Van Trao received Mr. Sheng Jun, President of Yunnan Agricultural University and delegations to Hanoi University. Presenting at the meeting, there are representatives of International Office, Academic Affairs Office, General Administrative Office, Vietnamese Studies Department and International Education Center.
At the reception, President Sheng Jun expressed his hope that Hanoi University will provide a favorable condition for students from Yunnan Agricultural University to enhance and deepen their understanding of Vietnamese culture, to accumulate hands-on experience Vietnamese ways of living.
On behalf of Hanoi University, Vice President Nguyen Van Trao have acknowledged the desire from his peer, mentioning that the University shall pay a great attention to students’ desire.
The leaders from two sides also expressed the hope for further cooperation in diverse fields in the time to come regarding education and science researches.
At the end of the meeting, President Sheng Jun and delegation of Yunnan Agricultural University paid a visit to Vietnamese Studies Department and International Education Center, also, had a meeting with Chinese students of Hanoi University.
Founded in 1938 and located in“Spring City” of Kunming,Yunnan Agricultural University is a comprehensive university with its emphasis laid on agriculture, and its attention paid to the coordinated development of distinctive characteristics. YAU now consists of 18 faculties covering planting, aquaculture, agriculture, water conservancy and hydropower engineering, agricultural economy management of agriculture-related disciplines as well as part of humanities and social sciences. Since 2013, Hanoi University and Yunnan Agricultural University has established bilateral cooperation and yearly, received thousands of students from Yunnan Agricultural University coming and studying Vietnamese language and culture at Hanoi University.
